It will be in the upper 60’s today & we consider that cool/cold, but in reality it is very comfortable especially for February. Would you trade with us if you could? J There is hardly a place that I would trade at this time of the year.
Looking Back
Last Sunday we had 119 in the AM service. Dr. Marty Marriot, the new President of Maranatha Baptist Bible College, was the special speaker. He preached from Acts 2:41-47 on “The Qualities of an Evangelistic Church.” It was very good. During the SS Hour, he spoke to the men & his wife Miriam, spoke to the ladies. We were certainly blessed to have them with us for the morning.
After the AM service I hurried to the Spanish ministry for an important meeting with them & Dr. Dave Barba who is working with them to transplant the Spanish ministry to the west side of Tucson. It was a very profitable meeting & I believe they are beginning to trust Bro. Barba in this significant move.
Sunday evening Diane & I were up at the San Carlos Apache Reservation to speak at their Adult Sweetheart Banquet. So we were not in the evening service at Bethel. Pastor Seth preached that evening. There were 63 in attendance.
Looking Ahead
This week has a number of extra things going on around Bethel. Thursday night at 6 PM is the monthly Deacon’s Meeting. On Friday we have our monthly nursing home service at Sterling House at 10:30 AM. And Saturday morning at 8:45 is the Senior Saint’s breakfast at Jerry-Bob’s Restaurant at Golf Links & Kolb.
This coming Sunday Missionary Jason Armstrong will be speaking at the Spanish service in the morning & presenting his work to the English church in the evening service. We will also have the Lord’s Supper this Sunday night in the evening service.
And don’t forget the Master Clubs will be sponsoring their annual Pine Car Derby on Saturday February 25th from 10 AM until around noon. This is open to the whole church family to come & watch the competition of our youngsters. It is invigorating to see all that energy buzzing around! J Please plan now to attend.

So there you have it about Bethel. We had a new couple visit last Sunday morning who are very interested. J The Adult Bible Classes are just finishing up their weekly study of I Peter & will begin a new series on I John next month. Also please mark your calendars now for our special meetings with Evangelist Barry Webb Sunday, March 18th through Thurs. March 22nd. He does hilarious puppets, touching chalk art during his messages, heart-moving music, special children’s meetings each night, etc. So just mark it down in your little black book right now so you don’t miss a single thing!
